NFT Project-Sponsored DEEBIES Skate Team Announces First Element of the Roster

More and more, people are becoming aware of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), not only what they really are but also their applications in real world scenarios. A good example of this is brought by NiftyCastle.io, a community of artists supporting other artists that has partnered with Toronto-based illustrator Sketchnate to create the NFT project DEEBIES.

Together, they decided to sponsor a skating team, being the first project in the NFT space to do so, thus giving origin to the DEEBIES Skate Team. The first element of the team’s roster has just been announced: Santana Saldana, an emerging skater from Long Beach, CA, who shared his excitement over this ground-breaking move:

“Excited to be starting this new chapter with DEEBIES. We are stepping into a new industry where skateboarding connects us, and to be the first – that is pretty profound in my book.”

Rich Beeman, who founded NiftyCastle together with Damian Bosiacki (known in the metaverse as Gifdead and Woahboy, respectively), also mentioned they are excited to partner with Saldana and kickstart his skating career.

NiftyCastle is one of the original NFT communities on Clubhouse and acts as an umbrella under which multiple creative projects are being generated, making it an inclusive medium for everyone to explore the potential of NFTs as a new creative tool. It currently amasses over 3600 artists, collectors and creators.

DEEBIES, already sold out, is a collection of over 3000 handmade NFTs obtained by more than 1000 unique collectors that has been harnessing a loyal community of artists and creators, surpassing one million dollars in sales. NiftyCastle’s plan is to continue to grow DEEBIES via collaborations with well known NFT artists like Gabe Weis, Sickpencil, and Ali Sabet.
